Your team grew. Your way of working didn't.
Small game teams can get surprisingly far on conversations, good intentions and people keeping everything in their heads.
Then the team grows, and work gets lost, decisions become unclear, feedback takes too long, and someone spends half their job trying to figure out what's happening.
I help you find where the chaos is coming from, build a production setup that fits your team, and make sure it keeps working when I'm gone.
Is this your team?
You might recognise some of this...
You used to know what everyone was doing. Now nobody quite has the full picture.
Work gets lost, duplicated, blocked or sits waiting for feedback longer than it should.
A lead, QA, founder or whoever happened to be organised has quietly become the producer.
You have Jira, meetings, sprints and processes, but they don’t seem to be making the work easier.
Decisions take too long, happen in too many places, or it isn’t clear who gets to make them.
What I actually look at
Before changing anything, I want to understand how work actually moves through your team, not how the process says it should.
Communication Where information lives, how updates happen, how people ask for help, give feedback and know what’s happening around their work.
Ownership & decisions Who owns what, who makes which decisions, where responsibilities overlap, and where one person has accidentally become the bottleneck.
Production flow How work is planned, prioritised, tracked, reviewed and handed between people or disciplines and where it gets stuck.
Processes & tools What your meetings, documentation, Jira, Kanban, sprints or other systems are actually doing for the team, including the things you’re still doing simply because you’ve always done them.
How I work
I start by asking a lot of questions. What’s working? What isn’t? Why do you do it this way? Who needs this? Where does this get stuck? What are you trying to achieve?
Then we identify what actually needs to change. That might mean simplifying a workflow, clarifying ownership, rebuilding planning, changing how information moves through the team, or setting up a production structure that wasn’t there before.
We test it with the people who actually have to use it, adjust what doesn’t work, document what does, and make sure the team can run it without me.
The goal isn’t to make your team dependent on a producer. It’s to build a system that works when I’m not there.
What working together can look like
Production diagnostic
A focused look at how your team works now, where things are breaking down, and what I think needs attention.
Solve a production problem
Come with a specific problem: planning, communication, ownership, workflow, outsourcing or something else, and we’ll work out what’s actually behind it and what needs to change.
Set up or rebuild
Design and implement a production setup that fits the team you have now and can keep working as you grow.
Fractional production support
I join the team for a period of time, help put the new ways of working into practice, adjust them with you, and hand them over once they’re working.
Need support for your Producers too?
Throughout my production career, I've supported and mentored developing Producers as part of my leadership roles. And sometimes improving the system isn't enough. The people running it need support as well.
Alongside production consulting, I mentor Producers who are stepping into the role, taking on more responsibility, or growing as production leaders.
We work through real situations from their day-to-day work: planning, communication, stakeholder management, prioritisation, difficult conversations and everything that comes with helping a team deliver.
The goal isn't to create Producers who work like me. It's to help them become confident, thoughtful Producers in their own right.
Curious what I'm like to work with?
How it starts
1. We talk
Tell me what’s happening in the team, what’s bothering you, and what you think the problem might be.
2. We figure out what you actually need
That might be a diagnostic, help with one area, a bigger production rebuild, or support embedded with the team.
3. We agree the scope
If I’m the right person to help, we agree what I’ll do, how we’ll work together and what success should look like.
No fake standard process beyond that, because you haven't run this as a consulting service yet.
Something isn’t working?
You don’t need to diagnose it before we talk. Tell me what’s happening, and we’ll start there
